Unit 5 - Solo performance

Developing their performance skills through target setting and reviewing, evaluating the progress made.

Creative and inspired performance pieces that demonstrate individual skills.

Assessed through a video recording of performance.

Unit 2: Music For All

Work as a team to plan, promote and deliver a music concert.

Review and evaluate the management process.

Plan through what is required to run a concert with attention to detail. Make plans with staff and governors to ensure concert is a success and runs smoothly.

Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the event, with awareness of what they did that was successful and what they’d need to do in order to have more success next time.

Students are assessed through coursework submission, this is made up of video evidence of their event and written planning documentation and evaluation.
