iMatter As A Member of The Community

iMatter As A Member of The Community

INTENT

iMatter as a member of the community because I need to play an active part in promoting and maintaining a thriving, supportive and successful community. I will develop skills and values which will have a positive impact on my school and the wider community as an individual and as a member of different teams and groups. I will seek opportunities to play an active role in my community and I will work individually and with others to look for ways to make improvements, using British Values as my guide.

Year 7

I will learn how to follow a timetable and to organise myself for school. I will monitor my attendance and behaviour and contribute positively to the whole school. I will become resilient and organised in my attitude to learning and play an active part in school life. I will celebrate my achievements and the achievements of others. I will take part in extracurricular clubs, teams and activities, which enhance my community. I will represent my school in a positive manner when out in the community.

Year 8

I will continue to develop my ability to organise myself. I will take responsibility for my attendance and behaviour, always contributing in a positive way to the whole school. I will be more resilient in my attitude towards learning. I will look for ways of enhancing my learning and will actively seek ways to improve school life for others. I will celebrate and encourage others to succeed. I will always represent my school in a positive manner when out in the community.

Year 9

I will contribute to the school community by demonstrating positive attributes. I will continue to develop my organisational skills and contribute to whole school attendance. I will provide a good example to younger students and my peers and will actively discourage negative behaviours. I will approach my GCSEs with positivity and emotional resilience. I will act as an ambassador for the school within the local community and will always make a positive impression.

Year 10

I will continue my GCSEs with enthusiasm, and offer support to my peers as we begin to take exams. I will demonstrate inclusive behaviour and will understand the impact my behaviour has on others. I will approach my work experience with enthusiasm and confidence, demonstrating all the positive behaviours that I have learnt to date. I will behave in a respectful and dignified manner, knowing that I am representing The Deanes as well as myself.

Year 11

I will embrace the extensive opportunities available to me, which allow me to grow and develop as an individual. I will lead by example, being an active role model to my peers, encouraging British values of inclusion and equality. I will be responsible for my attendance and behaviour, understanding the impact this has on myself as an individual and the wider impact to The Deanes. I will conduct myself in a respectable manner in the wider public and actively engage in opportunities to help others.
