Daily Update

22 February 2021

Dear Parents / Carers

I have just listened to the Prime Minister's speech in the Commons.  It is now clear that there will be a return to school from 08 March 2021, with twice weekly testing for all staff and students.  The full details of the return to school will be released later by the Department for Education.  Once I have understood the requirements, I will update you with our plan.  Until then, we will continue as we have been with our Remote Learning provision.

Vulnerable Students / Students with Critical Worker Parents

If you need to book your child into our provision for next week - please complete this form by Friday 26 February 2021 at 12:00.

If your child can be safely looked after at home, or your child can be safety left on their own at home, then you should NOT send them into school.

Tutor Group Meet Up

We have arranged for all tutors to hold an optional 'tutor session' tomorrow at 08:30 - 08:50.  These drop in sessions will enable students to talk to their tutor and other children in their tutor group. The instructions on how to join this session will be available on EPraise in the 'Tutorial' lesson and will take place on Teams, similar to a live lesson.

Free School Meal Vouchers

We have ordered the next set of Free School Meal vouchers using Edenred, the Government's preferred supplier.  If your child is entitled to free school meals, you should receive a voucher today or tomorrow.  We have issued 2 weeks of voouchers per child (parents with 2 students at school will receive £60 and one student £30 = 2 weeks at £15).

Over this period, I intend to communicate with you daily by email.  We will also place these messages on our website, under ’News’.  Please ensure we have your correct email address and mobile number.  If you have changed your email or mobile recently, please complete this form so we can update our records.
