Legally Blonde is at The Deanes

5 July 2017

The Legally Blonde Junior has reached the Deanes drama students. The students were very eager to prepare a production that was based on the feature movie. Our pupils have been designing, building sets, rehearsing their lines, developing costumes and working on dance moves constantly. The musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. It is a very fun and upbeat musical which promotes girls being themselves and succeeding.
Miss Harrison said "As always the talent of our students stuns and surprises me, they always manage to raise the bar year after year. Our talented cast features nine Year 11 students who have left the school but enjoy performing so much they have committed to spending more time with us in their very final Deanes production. Bronte Cosgrave does an amazing job in the role of Elle Woods with  none less than 10 different costumes changes, two which happen on stage in front of the audience and Jack Casson's interpretation of the love interest Emmett Forrest is a joy to watch. The cast and crew have been rehearsing since November and should be congratulated on their hard work and effort."
