Student Council

The school council is group of students who are chosen to represent the views of all pupils and to improve the school. Each tutor group has a representative, from which year group representatives are chosen to form a core group. The full student council meets at least once every half term, while the core group meet more regularly. Meetings are led by the head boy and head girl as well their deputies. The student council take on charitable projects including fundraising, mentoring and environmental projects. They are also regularly consulted regarding changes to policies that are relevant to student life and in the normal running of the school e.g. bullying policy, ICT provision, the canteen, uniform and time table changes where their input is highly valued.
