Students will discuss the different qualities that make up the most popular Disney characters and why they're presented in different ways.

TIME-TRAVELLER'S ESCAPE ROOM

Escape Ancient Egypt

Escape the Viking Raid

You will take on the role of archaeologists trapped in a tomb. To escape, you must decode a message in hieroglyphics, identify key gods and beliefs about the afterlife, and solve a logic puzzle based on the layout of an ancient tomb. You'll gain insight into Egyptian religious and burial practices while sharpening your code-breaking skills.

Trapped in a Roman fortress, you must escape by translating Latin phrases, reconstructing a map of the Roman roads, and identifying the uses of various Roman artefacts. You’ll work in teams, learning about Roman infrastructure, language, and daily life while solving clues and piecing together cultural information.

A Viking longship has landed—and you must avoid capture! To escape, you must decode Norse runes, navigate using a Viking compass puzzle, and answer riddles from Norse mythology.

Final Challenge- Escape History!

Locked in a medieval castle, you must solve riddles related to feudal society, crack the code to open a dungeon gate, and identify the correct heraldic symbols from a knight’s banner.

London is under attack during the Blitz. You are sheltering in a Tube station when a bomb blocks the exit tunnel. To escape safely, you must work together to crack wartime codes, identify key evacuation routes, and ration your supplies before the “all clear” siren sounds.

In the final session, you revisit all four time periods in a grand “escape history” challenge. Each team completes a set of mini-puzzles from Egypt, Rome, the Vikings, and medieval times. After escaping, you reflect on which period was the most interesting or challenging.

WALKING AND EXERCISING A DOG IN ALL WEATHERS

Maintaining an Outdoor Space

Wind Chimes & Mobiles

To learn safe practices in outdoor spaces. To maintain an area of woodland for outdoor learning and to clear litter from the space.

Students will learn how to safely use a palm drill. Students will use a mix of natural and man-made materials to create Sun Squares and weave a geometric pattern onto a wooden disc.

Students will learn to forage for a range of materials to create nature-based art. Students will then use their forage materials and given tools to create a set of natural wind chimes and mobiles.

An Introduction to Hapa Zome & Natural Dies

An introduction to foraging

Wellness in the Woods

Students will learn about the traditional Japanese art form of hapa zome and tataki zome. Students will then forage for their own natural materials and create a plant print. Students will also learn about nature-based dies. They will then create their own die and complete their printed piece with a natural-died border.

Students will learn about the skill of foraging. Students will learn to identify common woodland plants and identify their uses in food and wellness.

Students will learn about the practices of mandala creation and shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). Students will then look for and collect their own natural materials to create a spring nature mandala. Students will participate in a forest bathing inspired meditation.
